When I got my new Tesco insurance quote in, it was over 100% more that the previous one and now the non-claim is noted on my file event though I didn't claim any money. Surely this is some sort of GDPR issue keeping data that is not needed?

They will now lose me in all aspects of Tesco’s business name. I won’t be shopping with insuring or a banking with these people again for such a blatant and dishonest practice. If I had said my item was stolen without work being done they would have paid out!!!

Tesco Bank home insurance covers the rebuilding and repair cost of your home, as well as the replacement or repair of contents lost or damaged in a flood. Overlapping Home/Contents Insurance

The discount doesn’t apply to Home Emergency Cover and Family Legal Guard. You can cancel your policy any time after the cooling-off period, too. You'll be refunded the amount paid for the remaining period of insurance, minus a cancellation charge, as long as you haven’t made any claims. After you’ve bought your policy or it has auto-renewed, you have 14 days to cancel with a full refund of your premium.
Tesco Bank now offers insurance, credit cards, loans, savings accounts, and travel products. Tried to make a claim for an incident but before I could had to pay an extra premium including £25 admin fees because they didn’t ask me for certain information on the application form with GoCompare. If you don’t ask me and you don’t allow me to enter information on your application form.

Tesco home insurance includes an extra £7,500 worth of cover during special events. This can include weddings and Christmas or other religious holidays. If you work from home, including admin, clerical, or child-minding work then your office equipment and furniture will be covered up to £10,000. This cover will pay out if your TV, tablet, or laptop are accidentally damaged.
